Apostle Theodore T. Herring, Sr.
Apostle Theodore T. Herring, Sr. was born in Newport News, Virginia on December 24, 1950. Twenty-one years later, he married his high school sweetheart, Evangelist Elizabeth B. Herring and together, they educated and reared five, talented sons in God’s admonition: Theo Jr., Travis, Kristian, Jeremy, and Brandon. Now, they have two, beautiful daughters in law (Tanisha and Chaurita) and one lovely granddaughter (Melanie) and one grandson (Caiden).
Apostle Herring accepted his call to minister God’s word in April 1977 and was later ordained pastor of Salvation and Deliverance Church No. 6 in September 1979. In 1994, he was anointed Bishop in the Lord’s church. Since his ordination, Apostle Herring has received numerous awards of distinction including Pastor of the Year and an Honorary Certificate from Governor James B. Hunt for extraordinary pastoral care services rendered at Caledonia Correctional Institute. Moreover, he received his Master’s of Theology degree from St. Paul Bible Institute in Harlem, New York.
In 2003, Apostle Herring honorably went full time into the ministry, to ensure that the souls of God’s people were not lost and that the Word of God was delivered rightfully unto the saints. One year later, he was ordained as an Apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ by the late Apostle William Brown, the founder of Salvation and Deliverance Churches Worldwide.
Apostle Herring’s years of community service, diligence and dedication are unparalleled and have earned him a respectable place in the eyes of all who know him. He is a man of vision, a spiritual father to many, an inspiring teacher, and a dynamic preacher who is gifted at interacting with people from all walks of life. Using his wit, wisdom, and intellect, he shares with both sinner and saint the engrafted Word of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Just as Apostle Paul distributed handkerchiefs in the Holy Scriptures, Apostle Herring moves in the same anointing. In the prophetic and healing ministries, many signs and wonders have been wrought under God’s holy direction whereby God has used him as instrument for people to witness miracles before their very eyes. Most importantly, Apostle Herring believes that “he which converted the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.” This is his ministry, his method, and his message.
