Evangelist Elizabeth Herring
Born June 16, 1952, Elizabeth Herring was destined to be a powerful warrior in God’s army. In her 1972 marriage to Theodore Herring Sr., Elizabeth was one step closer to fulfilling her destiny. Seven years later, she and her husband opened the doors of Salvation and Deliverance Church in Tarboro, North Carolina in a little pool hall room on Main Street. Among Elizabeth Herring’s most noted accomplishments there were her organization of the Salvation and Deliverance Church Choir and her answering the call to the evangelical ministry at the age of 27.
Educationally, Evangelist Herring has received her Master’s of Theology degree from St. Paul Bible College in New York City, New York. Moreover, having retired from the Edgecombe County Public Schools system as an assistant teacher for over 32 years, she has yet purposed to venture further into other areas of interest. Nonetheless, she is dedicated to the work of Christ through the teaching and preaching of the gospel without compromising.
To this day, Evangelist Herring continues to work faithfully along with her husband, Apostle Theodore Herring as pastors of the Salvation and Deliverance Church. They are the proud parents of five handsome, gifted young men: Theo Jr., Travis, Kristian, Jeremy, and Brandon. The family also welcomes to the fold: Tanisha (wife of Theo), Chaurita (wife of Jeremy) and their precious, adorable, loving and talented granddaughter Melanie Akayla Herring (daughter of Brandon) and one smart and handsome grandson, Caiden Issac Herring.
Determined not to be idle in the work of the Lord, Evangelist Herring serves as Superintendent of the St. Paul Bible College (Tarboro Campus), tarries with the young people on the altar in prayer, serves as moderator of the Thursday evening services, ministers the word to the elderly at the Tarboro Nursing Center, serves as a prayer warrior for the Tuesday evening services, and is ultimately a very effective First Lady.
A fact to which all can attest, Evangelist Herring is an anointed woman who does not mind giving God what is rightfully due Him! Through the years, she has found that “Praising God” is a potent weapon to defeat the devil and has kept the mentality that “He who has begun a good work in you will perform it unto the day of Jesus Christ”. Evangelist Herring has been tested and tried, and has been proven to be the powerful warrior in God’s army that she was destined to be.
